I have to be one of the silliest girls. One of the things I looked forward to so much when getting married was starting a blog for Chris and me. Now I finally get to start one!!
Chris and I got married on July 22, 2009 around 11:00 up American Fork canyon right behind Timpanogos. It was beautiful there and even better, we didn't have to decorate! It was nice weather but a little hot. We had just immediate family there and everyone seemed to enjoy the ceremony. Chris and I were really worried about the ceremony because it was a little different than your typical ceremony with a bishop and we weren't too sure how the two families would respond to something so different. Chris and I had decided about a month ago to do a small ceremony and have a close friend of ours marry us. He's a native American so the ceremony was based around a traditional native American marriage ceremony.

Everything came together so perfectly. The ceremony was so beautiful and Chris and I had done a few things to make it more personal to us. I think over all that was what was so important to us. We wanted this to be our wedding and not a big party with fancy dresses, flowers, cakes, photographers ect... I think that's why both of us were so relaxed and completely open to the spirit that day. It was perfect.
I think over all both families were very supportive and open to the unique ceremony. I know Chris was a little worried about making sure his family felt comfortable there.
We are almost completely moved into our one bedroom one bath now. It's a small apartment but comfortable and reasonably priced. That was my biggest worry was finding something decent and in the $600 range. We went bedroom shopping today and found a bedroom set I love. We just need to decide if that's the one we want. It's a little higher than we wanted to spend but a really good deal. We'll see.
Chris is working two jobs now so I haven't seen too much of him but his second job will hopefully slow down a little bit. He got the bad news that Dixie college just changed their nursing program to a 3 semester program instead of a 4 semester so now they are not taking applications for the spring semester. Were not too happy about that but what can you do. Chris is going to try and apply at some other colleges now. I'm hoping he gets into one here near Utah county. I wouldn't mind even having to move to salt lake. I'm kind of sick of the 3 1/2 hour car rides back and forth from st George to home to visit.
